It's okay to not connect with your therapist; finding the right fit is crucial for successful therapy, and you have the right to switch.
It is perfectly okay to not like your therapist or feel that they're not the right fit. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful Psychotherapy. If you don't feel comfortable, heard, or respected, it will be difficult to make progress. You can try discussing your concerns with the therapist directly, or you can simply decide to look for someone else. You don't need to justify your decision. This is your emotional healing journey, and you have the right to find a therapist who feels like a true ally.
